Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is an important topic, now more than ever. As we try to change our work ethics and the way in which we handle business, it is often easy to overlook sensitive issues that can effect your client and/or your business. Afsana has developed a seminar on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) matters that lawyers often come across during their everyday practice and in mediation.

Afsana’s current seminar  ‘Cultural Competence in Mediation’ focuses on tackling EDI issues within the mediation profession and cultural competence awareness, to help lawyers and mediators accommodate their clients. Ontario is one of the most multicultural places to live, in the world. Through empirical and government data, this seminar demonstrates the importance of adapting to the diverse community in which, we live and work.

The seminar is accredited for 45 minutes hours of EDI Professionalism Content by the Law Society of Ontario.

Afsana provides negotiation workshops for lawyers and professionals who require further skills and knowledge in this area.

This workshop is ideal for 1 – 5 year associates or professional who wish to learn more about the concept of negotiation. During the workshop, you will gain an in-depth understanding of Principled Negotiation and how to use them effectively.  You will be involved in role-play exercises with a partner and have an opportunity to ask questions, during or after the workshop.

During the workshops, you will gain an in-depth understanding of Principled Negotiation and how to use them effectively.

There will also be an opportunity for you to practice with a role-play. Afsana will provide coaching during the workshop to help you tackle difficult situations. The purpose of the workshop is to help you grow your confidence and assert authority effectively.

The Negotiation Workshop is 3.30 hours long with a 15 minute break. Light refreshments are provided. The location for the workshop will be confirmed two weeks ahead of the event.

The workshop is eligible for 3.15 substantive hours.

The cost of the workshop is $475.00 + HST per person.
