You can book a half-day, full-day or multi-day mediation.

Half-day mediations are from 10.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. or 2.00 p.m. -5.00 p.m.
Full day mediations are from 10.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m

Mediation Fees and Terms

Afsana offers competitive rates for her mediation services, with fees varying according to the practice area, complexity of the dispute, and the time required to complete the mediation. Please contact Afsana directly for specific information about her rates.

Fee Structure

Fees include preparation time and materials. Please note that facility rental charges, reasonable travel, accommodation and other expenses are not included in the quoted fees and will be charged separately. Meeting facilities should include a breakout room (depending on the number of parties) and a flip chart. If additional preparation time is required beyond the standard allowance, extra fees may apply. These charges will be pre-determined during the engagement stage.

All payment terms will be included in the Terms of Engagement (T&E), which must be signed by each party to the service provided.

Submission and Engagement

All mediation briefs must be submitted at least seven (7) days prior to the mediation date. Late submissions may result in little or no preparation, for which the mediator will take no responsibility.

Upon booking, GC Mediation and Training will provide a T&E, which must be signed by all parties and submitted before or on the day of the mediation. Any changes to the T&E, whether before or during the mediation, should be discussed directly with Afsana. If a half-day mediation extends to a full day, a new T&E will need to be signed. All parties to the mediation of training services and jointly and severally liable to the terms of engagement policies.

Payment Terms

GC Mediation will send an invoice following the completion of the mediation or in adherence to a pre-determined payment structure. GC Mediation reserves the right to request a deposit or full payment of the invoice before the mediation, if necessary.

Payment is strictly due within 15 days following the mediation, unless expressly agreed otherwise. Late payments will incur an additional 10% charge of the final invoice and interest at a rate of 6.5%, from the date payment is due.

Payments can be made via BAC or Bank Transfers, e-transfers or cheques. Details for payments will be provided on the invoice. Cash and Bank Drafts will NOT be accepted.

Please note that all parties are jointly and severally liable for the full payment of the invoice. 

GC Mediation reserves the right to take legal action against non-payment of invoices.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be notified by contacting Afsana 14 days before the mediation date. After this time period, 50% of the original invoice will become payable. Cancellation fees are not applicable if the mediation is being rescheduled.
